If you are a Mango lover then this Mango Mousse with Mango Jelly recipe can be a perfect dessert for you! This recipe requires only 3 ingredients which are easily available at the stores. It's delicious and very easy to make. Two weeks back I had asked my Instagram followers  " What Should Be My Next Blog?", Mango Kulfi or Mango Mousse. Mango kulfi got the maximum number of votes so I posted it last week, here is the link for the Mango Kulfi recipe. Today I am sharing my Eggless Mango Mousse with Mango Jelly recipe for the ones who are eagerly waiting and who had voted for Mango Mousse.

Mousse is light spongy food usually containing cream in it. The cream is beat until it is light and creamy. There are recipes which requires gelatin and agar agar for setting the mousse, but in this recipe I am not using any of the ingredients for setting the mousse. This recipe calls for only 3 ingredients!

How To Make Perfect Mango Puree?

This recipe requires 2 cups of mango puree. Steps for making perfect  mango puree:

Peel, de-seed and cut the Mango into small small pieces.

• Use your food processor to make the mango pieces into a semi-liquid form.

• Before adding sugar seperate half cup of mango puree to make mango jelly.

For my recipe I have added 1 tablespoon of sugar to the mango puree which I have used for the mousse. You can completely avoid this step or you can adjust the sugar as per the taste.

• Use well ripened sweet mangoes for the best results.

How To Make Mango Jelly?

This requires only 1/2 cup of mango puree to make the jelly and it is very easy to make.

• In a non-stick saucepan add 1/2 cup of mango puree and 1/2 tablespoon of granulated sugar.

Cook it for 4-5 minutes until you get a nice glossy texture to it. Once you get the desired texture turn of the flame and keep aside. Let it cool to room temperature.

Notes

•  If you are using refridgerated mango puree then it should come to room temperature.

•  I am using 1 1/2 tablespoons of granulated sugar in my recipe. 1 tablespoon I am adding to the mango puree which I am using for the mousse and 1/2 tablespoon to the mango jelly.

•  Always start with the Mousse recipe first and refrigerate it till you make the mango jelly.

• Don't pour hot jelly mixture on the top of the mousse it will spoil the texture. After making the jelly, wait for 5-6 minutes and then start pouring.

• Number of servings may vary depending on the size of the glass.

• Refrigerate it for atleast 5 hours then serve.

Mango Kulfi! Without Condensed Milk! Without Cream!

As we all know, summer is hottest of all the seasons. This summer when we all are at home and can't go out, how about making a delicious dessert with ingredients which are easily available at home. We always crave for one and only one thing during sunny summer days i.e ice cream, which gives us a quick boost of energy. Ice cream might be the first food that you reach for in this season.
